Retro: Age of Empires II

A look back of the classic games that bring back that nostalgic feeling on an epic scale. The year of 1999 brought us an RTS classic that is still played by a considerably large amount of people today.

Unfortunately the old networking system in the game prohibits easy multiplayer gaming over the internet so programs have sprung up allowing players to connect: Voobly

However, the best times to be had with this games are at LAN party's where games last over 3 hours and you devise sneaky way to take out your friends while they're taking a wiz.

These days it may not be so easy to get your hands on this RTS classic. The more recent version of Age of Empires (Age of Empires: Online) hasn't managed to capture the same classic gameplay of this epic title.  However, if you do get your hands on it, jump online and experience the glory that is Age of Empires II.
